Please see our Resources page for other California Labrador Retriever rescues.We update the list of available dogs as adoptions occur and as new dogs arrive, so please keep checking for the latest information. All dogs listed below are still available unless otherwise noted. If you would like to adopt from CCLRR, please go to the Adopt page to read about our adoption process. All dogs are tested prior to entering our program, however you will want to introduce your dog before adopting. Shelters do not test with cats and not all foster homes have cats so if a bio does not specifically say "Cat Friendly," we do not know and a proper introduction is recommended. Please check our Courtesy Postings as well!

Meet Leo — the handsome yellow Lab with soulful eyes and an even sweeter heart.
At just 2 years old, Leo is the perfect mix of playful energy and affectionate companion. He loves walks, backyard zoomies with his foster sister, and proudly carrying around his favorite toys. Once he’s gotten his playtime in, he’s happiest curled up near his people soaking up love and belly rubs. In fact, he's a professional cuddler.
Leo has wonderful house manners and a truly loving temperament. He’s gentle with toys, non-destructive, and sleeps soundly through the night in his crate. He also does well uncrated and has proven himself to be a trustworthy companion around the home.
This social butterfly absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys meeting everyone he can. While he walks nicely on leash, he’s very excited to say hello to new dog friends, so continued leash work will help him continue polishing his manners. He knows sit, wait and outside.
Leo would thrive in a home with another playful dog, kids, or an active family that also enjoys downtime and lots of togetherness. He’s eager to please, learning more every day, and with continued structure and love, he’s going to make an incredible lifelong companion.

Meet Bonnie — the sweet silver shadow you didn’t know your life was missing.
Bonnie is the definition of a turnkey dog. She’s affectionate, gentle, obedient, and happiest when she’s close to her people. Whether you want a walking buddy, couch cuddle companion, or loyal best friend, Bonnie is ready to fill that role immediately.
This soft, cuddly girl will greet you like a celebrity every single time you walk through the door — even if you only left for an hour.
Bonnie is fully obedience trained, walks beautifully on leash, and has excellent house manners. She knows sit, down, stay, drop it, wait, come/heel and is a fetch enthusiast. She’s potty trained, crate trained, and uses a doggy door like a pro. She also won’t pass up a fun game of fetch with her favorite squeaky ball.
Bonnie came into rescue with her friend Clyde and they would love to stay together if possible, though we are willing to separate them for the perfect forever homes.

Meet Clyde — the big (104 lbs), mellow best friend you’ve been waiting for.
If your dream dog is a loyal companion who wants to hang out, relax by your side, and love you endlessly… Clyde is your guy. He’s sweet, gentle, “spoonable,” and truly has never met a stranger.
Clyde is happiest lounging near his people whether that’s on the couch, beside your bed, or curled up on a dog bed nearby. He’s fully potty trained, uses a doggy door like a pro, and has wonderful house manners.
When the weather cools down, Clyde enjoys playing fetch with his favorite squeaky ball. This handsome boy walks beautifully on leash with zero pulling and already knows all the important basics: sit, down, stay, drop it, wait, come/heel and walks excellent on leash.
Clyde came into rescue with his friend Bonnie and would love a home with her or another canine buddy to keep him company.
His foster family absolutely adores him and says they would keep Clyde and Bonnie themselves if they didn’t already have two Labs of their own.
