Please help us save more Labrador Retrievers!

Sadly, most of the dogs on last week’s flight came down with kennel cough, and two have taken a turn for the worse, developing pneumonia. Please keep Greg/Rex & Pixley in your thoughts and prayers during this very scary time.
 

Pixley was hospitalized this afternoon after vets feared he may be turning septic. Pixley is young, strong, and still fighting. Greg/Rex is being lovingly cared for at home by his dedicated foster. He is receiving medications and sub-q fluids, which is not easy, but he’s being watched extremely closely. We are truly hoping Rex will not need hospitalization. We are also hoping no other pups develop symptoms severe enough to require this level of care.

Hospitalization for cases like this is estimated at around $6,000 per dog.

Every dollar helps and goes directly toward lifesaving medical care.

 

We are so incredibly grateful for our amazing fosters who step up, open their homes, give meds, lose sleep, and love these dogs through the hardest moments and our dedicated supporters that provide the financial assistance that makes this possible. We truly could not do this work without you.

  • We need your help! As an all volunteer non-profit organization, we rely on donations like yours. All donations are tax-deductible and go directly to the dogs -- their medical care, boarding/training, transport costs, food, and supplies.

  • We provide foster care and medical services to hundreds of Labradors each year. Our Labradors come from shelters, owners who can no longer care for their dogs or from families whose situations require that they re-home their dogs.

  • We will always strive to heal the sick and injured, rehabilitate the neglected and abused, and nurture the aged and unwanted until we find the perfect family who will shower them with unconditional love.
