Surrrender a Lab

We help Labs find good homes!

If you would like to place a lab for adoption with CCLRR and you live south of Yuba City to Stockton/Modesto or east of the San Francisco Bay Area, please fill out, sign and submit our Placement Application. Submission of this form does not guarantee placement.

If your lab has bitten someone, is dog aggressive, is over 10 years old, is in poor health, or doesn’t get along with other dogs, he will not be placed into the program. In this case, we will try to find options for you.

Once we have determined that your dog may be a candidate for our program, we will arrange for our nearest volunteer to meet your lab. We ask for a $50 placement fee if your lab is accepted.  If you need a foster home for your dog we will look for one after the meet and greet, but please keep in mind that foster homes are in short supply and your patience is appreciated.

Stray dogs: Please note that we cannot accept stray dogs unless you have had the dog for at least 10 days and have made an attempt to find the owner by putting up flyers, notifying local shelters and veterinarians, putting ads on Craigslist and social media, and having the dog scanned for a microchip.  If you are unable to keep the dog for 10 days you need to take it to the shelter in whose jurisdiction the dog was found.
