Rescue
Central California Labrador Retriever Rescue (CCLRR) was "born" in July 1998 due to the great need to find loving homes for abused, abandoned or unwanted Labrador Retrievers in the Central Valley. We are an all-volunteer organization. Our dogs are in foster homes or with their current families; we do not have a central facility or shelter. We adopt to homes north to Redding and south to Fresno, and from the S.F. Bay Area south to Monterey County. We do NOT adopt to homes in Southern California or out of state with the exception of the Reno/Tahoe area. Please see our Resources page for other California Labrador Retriever rescues.

Calling All Puppy Fosters!
We need an immediate foster or fosters for 3 Lab/Belgian Shepherd puppies. If someone could take all three just to get them out of their current situation (living outside, danger of contracting Parvo) and we will move them as foster space comes available OR if there are 3 people interested in fostering or fostering-to-adopt, that works too. We are waiting for more information. All appear healthy, were people and dog friendly. We are not sure of genders as there are two litters. Seven of the puppies are 10 weeks and five are 9 weeks. We are working with other rescues to try to place them all. Contact Cathy 925.303.0509 if you can help these sweet babies get in to a home and give them some TLC! 🐾
Adopt, Foster or Foster-to-Adopt
Shelter ID A212707 - Lab/GP mix
White Female - 4-5 Years Old
This little momma is about 50 pounds, so lab size. This super sweet girl came in emaciated and overbred, but has gained weight since she arrived. She has a bit of a limp and walks slow and cautious. She gets along with big and tiny dogs. Her top teeth are worn down. Please give this girl a soft place to lay her head and a little TLC. See Video. Adopt from Merced County Shelter or Foster or Foster-to-Adopt through us, Contact Cathy 925.303.0509 call/text
Foster or Foster-to-Adopt
Princess - Black Female Lab - 18 Months
Sasha - Chocolate Female Lab - 18 Months
Biggie - Chocolate Male Lab - 18 Months
Backyard breeder surrendering three PUREBRED 18 month old labs and a 7 year old silver mother. We have a foster for Bronzie (the mom). Looking for fosters or adopters for the three younger dogs. They are all nice dogs, they just need to be in a home where they can learn manners and be part of a family. They are reportedly good with other dogs, but Princess would do best with a calm, gentle companion. Please contact Cathy 925.303.0509 call/text

Adopt, Foster or Foster-to-Adopt
Popeye A210193 - Black Male Lab Mix
The shelter thinks he's about 5 years old, but we suspect he may be younger. He is absolutely the sweetest boy ever! He is playful, rolls over on his back for pets, allows touching all over, ears, teeth, feet and tail. He is very food motivated and came every time he was called and offered a treat. This boy will be a super fun companion. Popeye can be adopted directly from Yolo County Shelter or you can foster through us. Contact Cathy 925.303.0509 call/text
Adopt, Foster or Foster-to-Adopt
London A210763 - Black Female Lab - 1 Year
London is only about 1 year old and has already had puppies. London loves treats and will let you know if you're not dispensing them fast enough. She's good with other dogs, allows handling and petting and is good about checking her teeth and ears. She has already been spayed and is waiting for her forever home. London can be adopted directly from Yolo County Shelter or you can foster or foster-to-adopt through us. Contact Cathy 925.303.0509 call/text
VOLUNTEER FOSTER HOMES ARE CRITICAL TO THE SUCCESS
OF OUR PROGRAM!
The number of dogs out there in need of saving is insurmountable. The need for fosters continues to grow as the shelters are overflowing and owner surrenders are on the rise. If you have EVER thought of fostering, now is the time.
You must be in our area or able to drive or receive transport help to vet appointments, must have a secure yard, and be able to ensure the dogs are not left alone for long periods of time.
