Central California Labrador Retriever Rescue (CCLRR) was "born" in July 1998 due to the great need to find loving homes for abused, abandoned or unwanted Labrador Retrievers in the Central Valley. We are an all-volunteer organization.  Our dogs are in foster homes or with their current families; we do not have a central facility or shelter. We adopt to homes north to Redding and south to Fresno, and from the S.F. Bay Area south to Monterey County. We do NOT adopt to homes in Southern California or out of state with the exception of the Reno/Tahoe area.  Please see our Resources page for other California Labrador Retriever rescues.

 Truffle - Lab/GP mix

White Female - 4 to 5 Years Old

Truffle is about 50 pounds, so lab size. She is a super sweet, gentle girl that came in emaciated and overbred, but has gained weight since she arrived. She has been spayed and received entropion eye surgery. She gets along with big and tiny dogs. She just needs a soft place to lay her head and a little TLC while we look for her forever home.

Popeye A210193 - Black Male Lab Mix

The shelter thinks he's about 5 years old, but we suspect he may be younger. He is absolutely the sweetest boy ever! He is playful, rolls over on his back for pets, allows touching all over, ears, teeth, feet and tail. He is very food motivated and came every time he was called and offered a treat. This boy will be a super fun companion. Popeye can be adopted directly from Yolo County Shelter or you can foster through us. Contact Cathy 925.303.0509  call/text

Adopt, Foster or Foster-to-Adopt

London A210763 - Black Female Lab - 1 Year
London is only about 1 year old and has already had puppies. London loves treats and will let you know if you're not dispensing them fast enough. She's good with other dogs, allows handling and petting and is good about checking her teeth and ears. She has already been spayed and is waiting for her forever home. London can be adopted directly from Yolo County Shelter or you can foster or foster-to-adopt through us. Contact Cathy 925.303.0509 call/text

VOLUNTEER FOSTER HOMES ARE CRITICAL TO THE SUCCESS

OF OUR PROGRAM!

The number of dogs out there in need of saving is insurmountable. The need for fosters continues to grow as the shelters are overflowing and owner surrenders are on the rise. If you have EVER thought of fostering, now is the time.

You must be in our area or able to drive or receive transport help to vet appointments, must have a secure yard, and be able to ensure the dogs are not left alone for long periods of time.
